Well, the good news is I’ve finally made it to my destination. The bad news is that I’m going to be living out of my suitcase for the next couple of weeks as I wait for my new living space to become available. Unfortunately this isn’t the easiest place to produce comics, so it will probably be a few more weeks before I can get back to the story.
Anyhow, even if I still don’t have a home, I’m settling into my new home town and workplace. It’s a nice place, but it sure is rainy. I think there’s only been one sunny day in the two weeks since I arrived. I do like the rain, but this is getting to be a little much.
So are you now living in Illinois or was that merely a brief stopover in your Great Migration across the Great Plains? 🙂 Thanks for the update!
Just a stopover. I was starting to get fatigued and felt stopping for the night would be best. I nearly stayed at a place almost as grungy back in Windsor, but was able to get out of that because it was a non-smoking room that was stinking of cigarette smoke.
Congrats on your safe move, but ew regards having to live out of a suitcase! Hope all goes well and it becomes available sooner rather than later.
I’ve got much better lodgings now. Living out of a hotel room is inconvenient (and expensive), but not so bad. I did something similar for about a month nearly 10 years ago when I went down to Los Angeles for the first time.
Luckily you’re not in Oklahoma, bless their hearts.
That’s true. I’ve been watching a news and it looks like there’s a lot of terrible devastation there. I think a lot of the rain we’ve been getting is the ends of those storms blowing north.
Your temporary place doesn’t have a pentagram too, does it? 😛
Nope. But no mini-fridge either. At least the pentagram place had that.
Hmmm, so if pentagram, then mini-fridge… I think you know what must be done! xD
