Everything seems so busy this week – not sure why. Maybe just unfinished business from last week.
Anyhow, more brush-and-ink practice this week.

He’s so dumbfounded! Very funny (and cool)! 😀
More practice, you say? Has this medium proven promising so far? 🙂
April’s talented with knives. Came in handy during the escape back in chapter 1.
Oh right! I’d nearly forgotten about that, though I was actually trying to ask about your practice with the brush-and-ink medium. 😛
My mentors tell me learning to ink with a brush is a long process, but that the efforts are well worth it. Inking with a brush is a lot more fun than using technical pens because it’s so expressive. But it’s a lot more difficult too because it’s so sensitive to pressure.
I think I’ve made progress since this strip – granted, it was a brush-pen.
I can definitely see what you mean by more expressive, and comparing the old with the new, it’s clear that you’re more relaxed with your lines. Take that with a grain of salt from a non-artist, but I really like the way your more recent pages look. 🙂
