So this was the first page to get a big ink smudge on it. I wasn’t paying attention and dragged my hand though a pool of not-yet-dry ink. So I went out to the art store to buy some white ink-paint and some brushes. I think I cleaned it up pretty well and as a bonus finally got some inking brushes. I’ve posted some of my first ink-brush doodles as the incentive. It’s an interesting alternative, although I think I’ll keep with the crowquill pen for the comic for the next little while.
Would have loved to see the smudge!
My guess would be either around the soup ladle or Joels chest, 4th panel.
Close. Joel’s left hand and arm in the 4th panel.
Hmmm, do they have more than one guest? 😯
It’s really interesting to be able to compare the fresh brushwork to the rest of your work with other media. 🙂
