Even when you’re back on home territory you can’t take your safety for granted.
On another note, in drawing this I realized what a big schnoz Joel has. That spooky guy has his work cut out for him.

*smacks firefox’s rss feed* Darn thing didn’t let me know it updated. Very interesting figure here, heh! Certainly not most shapes in the world, so it raises a neat couple of questions, and till next time then. Great work, especially with the shading in panel 6.
Not sure what’s wrong with the RSS. I’m just using the default settings that came with WordPress. Let me know if you continue to have problems.
Thanks. I wasn’t sure what to do with the backgrounds in the bottom panels. At first I had them all a dull grey-blue and it looked awful. Then I thought of using the color to reflect Joel’s state of mind.
Its on my end, not yours, i run a no script FF plugin to cut down on spyware/adware (had alot of issues there.) and its odd about showing some rss feeds from a couple spots at times.
Would you say that lights and shadows are a love it/hate it affair with drawing for you?
Well, I’m still learning how to draw (probably the main reason I started this comic), and getting the lights and shadows right is part of that. Sometimes I’ll draw something I really like, and sometimes I’ll work on a panel for 30 minutes and still not get it right.
I’d say improving is partly about logically analyzing what you’ve drawn for mistakes and partly about recognizing when you’ve accidentally drawn something correctly and trying to repeat that. While I always strive for good drawings, sometimes I just have to settle for what currently I’m able do.
