Hi everyone. I’ve arrived in my new home after a week of packing and another half week of driving. I’m in temporary housing right now as I search for an apartment which I’m hoping to secure by the end of the month. My current living quarters are tiny, so it’s not so easy to draw comics here (I did this one sitting cross-legged on my bed). I’ll try to keep posting through June, but I may have to do a few filler pieces.
Ha! Joel and Ruby Rose are making a really cute couple, and I’m not sure Joel even has a clue! 🙂
Great expressions throughout, Mark; especially the first and last panels.
LOL – You draw better on your lap than I do at my desk, Mark! You’re doing great; keep going! But; I’ll certainly be patient as you figure out your new location. What general area are you in this time? Seems like you didn’t stay in the last one long, so I hope things work out very well for you ‘here’. 🙂
Thanks. I’m finding faces a little easier to do than bodies, but I still need to learn a lot about both.
I’m back in southern Ontario now which is a lot like Minnesota, although with a lot fewer US flags.

Yeah, moving can be a hassle. Glad to see you’re adapting though! I’m sure the fillers will be great, but I’ll still be here looking forward to your next page. ^_^
Sounds like this Tom guy has been rejected by Ruby before and from Ruby’s reactions he is clearly far from welcome being near to her.
A few minor issues (and I do mean minor). Overall the arrangement of the characters is awesome. In Panel 2 I have a few issues with the table. I am trying to figure out where the table legs are.
Also in panel 1 and 3 we may be missing Ruby’s earrings. The angle is a little extreme and they could be covered over by her ears.
Geometry is my hardest struggle especially when trying to get multiple scenes of the same room look consistent that are all at different viewing angles.
I still love the story and the art style looks amazing even if it is drawn ‘roughing it’ 😉
Keep them coming and can’t wait for the next!

Yeah, I did leave out a few things. I noticed the missing earrings while I was coloring, but by then it was late and I was tired and I decided to just leave them. Missed the table leg, though. Maybe Joel and Ruby have a really bad case of static cling!
