I’ve been listening to Machiavelli’s “The Price” while working on this. It’s about 500 years old, but there are still lots of parallels to the various groups that run society today. I suppose princes (and people) haven’t changed that much since then.
Also, it’s apple harvest time. Got a 1/2 peck of fresh locally grown apples. They taste great, but eating too many at once isn’t so good for your stomach.
I have to agree with her about necromancy.
Apple Harvest? Hey, that’s right! Time to make some apple butter! 🙂
Agreed; I’m 100% with April on this one.
Also; I think April needs some teeth. She looks like a toothless old lady in panel two, although her expression overall is great. I really like the subtlety of Joel’s expression in panel three.
And now I want to learn how to make apple-butter! I can do Brunswick stew, but have never tried apple-butter. 🙂
A recipe similar to what I use is at this page http://allrecipes.com/recipe/slow-cooker-apple-butter/ .
Never had apple butter – sounds tasty, though! I’ll have to keep my eyeout for it when I’m in the shops.
It’s a spread (like jelly) but not quite the sugar impact. Kind of like a spicy apple sauce. It’s good for me because I have diabetes and it doesn’t affect my blood sugar as much as jelly.
