So, I’ve reached the midway point on those art classes I’ve been taking. This week (I’m writing in the future! WooOOOoooOOO!) is called ‘work week’ and is intended to allow classes to synchronize if holidays or emergencies disturbed things earlier in the term. So it’s a week off, but not really. Anyhow, there’s still going to be plenty of more drawing in addition to the day job.
Panal 5, 1st speech bubbe “…the cut up the body of…”? That wording is a little hard for me to understand.
I was trying to say that someone cut up a body and then used it as bait. I think that comes across.
IThe point got across but it took me a while to figure that out. Removing the secont the after up would fix the error.
Didn’t even notice the second ‘the’, even after reading it again. Thanks.
Ewwwww… I’m half inclined to believe that Rita will shank somebody before they reach their destination.
Good luck surviving (having survived?) Work Week!
Thanks. As part of work week, the school held a Scott McCloud style 24 hour comic contest, which I made the mistake of entering. So 24 hours later I had 24 penciled pages, 21 inked and one very unsteady and hallucinating artist.
I’ll need to think of a way to post them when I get them back. I don’t think Comic Press handles multiple comics.
There’s gotta be some clean way to post them. Doing that kind of contest is a little crazy (bravo!), and it’d be great to get to see the end result! 😮
Did you draw and ink the pages in order, such that the later pages were done later in the contest?
Yep, it was all in order. I went through in the first pass doing all the pencils, and then went back over to ink them.
Despite how stressful it sounds like it was, would you do it again?
Maybe. It is exhausting. It’s also pretty tough to schedule the amount of time you need to both do it and recover. I’m still feeling the effects.
I learned some things about drawing while doing it, though. I think it’s improved my art.
