So, I’ve had a change of plans. My recently deceased computer was on the old side as it was, so rather than spending $300 on a new motherboard and attempting the delicate replacement operation myself, I decided to just buy a new system. The good news is the current ETA is at the start of October. The bad news is that you’re going to have to put up with more Intermission until then. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it gets delivered early so I can get back into production.
Well I just wait for more lizard wizard then.
wat?
Is Gretchen the fledgling cyber mind? Is the Space Strider going to stop it from taking over the galaxy by beating it at…Halo?? That’d actually be pretty good! 😀
I’ll take more Intermission over nothing any day. 😮
hey i second somthing over nothing any day! But sometimes a note in place of art is okay if the world turns against you and you have nothing to post versus not letting us know wether or not your ok.
I recommend an external hard drive shell for you. That way you can save and use your work on any USB computer.
Either that’s a long out of production motherboard, a highly specialized motherboard, or that was also including the cost of a new CPU as well. My money is on the last, as until you start talking things like “Blade Servers” the motherboard itself rarely hits the $150 mark, let alone breaking it, and ‘older’, lower spec CPU’s can frequently be picked up for around $150 to $250 if you know where to look (some times you can actually get the cutting edge ones for less than $300, but that doesn’t happen very much any more).
