Have you ever used a brush for your ink?

I’m still working up my confidence to try inking with a brush. I’ll probably do it at some point.
Is it true that inking with a brush is the “classic” way of doing things? (I have no idea.)
Well, it’s a popular way that a lot of comics are drawn. I think DC used to require artists to ink that way. But one of my instructors this summer has done professional work and uses markers.
I think it’s best to use whatever tools you’re most comfortable with.
