True, it is a old english term, but in todays U.S.D. currency a crown equals $100 therefore $50…in U.S.D. currency. Also I’m not sure if you saw my fiirst commsnt but yes your art has improved tremendously and since 2011 I have enjoyed it going on 2017
I must admit that I’m not sure how much a crown is. But it sounded like a steep price to me going off of the urchin’s reaction in the scene at the end of Dicken’s Christmas Carol where Scrooge sticks his head out of a window and sends him to buy a turkey.
Panel 3: Drop the “up” before “upstairs”.
Panel 4: Put a comma at the end of “crown”.
Fixed it.
It sounds suspiciously like someone is being taken advantage of, but I could be wrong. I don’t know what “half-a-crown” translates to in our money.
Wow I like how the story is so far, also your art has improved tremendously since 2011
Thanks. 🙂 It’s been quite the learning process!
Also half crown? So like $50 bucks
But are their crowns the same as yours?? 😉

Amusing to use Dickens’ story for a reference. So apparently both Brandon and I are correct and April is being taken advantage of.
Oops; just had a bad thought…
I hope the old goat’s not going to turn April in for a reward!
